O lugar é cercado por queda d’água, trilhas ecológicas e exuberante biodiversidade. Ideal para quem procura sossego e contato com a natureza em qualquer época do ano. A Reserva Natural Salto Morato é um dos principais atrativos turísticos de Guaraqueçaba (Paraná) e fica no maior e mais preservado remanescente contínuo de Mata Atlântica do país. Criada em 1994 pela Fundação Grupo Boticário de Proteção à Natureza, a Reserva está dentro da Área de Proteção Ambiental (APA) Federal de Guaraqueçaba, numa região reconhecida pela sua riqueza natural e
beleza cênica. É reconhecida pela Unesco como Sítio do Patrimônio Natural da Humanidade e considerada referência em manejo de reserva natural.
O destaque da Reserva Natural Salto Morato é a queda d’água que dá nome ao local. O Salto Morato, uma cascata de cerca de cem metros de altura, proporciona um espetáculo visual emocionante.
A trilha que conduz até ele é envolta por uma densa floresta que revela surpresas dos mais variados tipos. Pássaros e, por vezes, até macacos podem ser avistados no trajeto que também contempla o Aquário Natural, uma piscina natural de água translúcida que pode ser aproveitada para mergulho ao lado de diversos peixes. O passeio pela trilha do Salto Morato pode ser feito num único dia, tem painéis interpretativos e é bem sinalizada.
Antes de iniciar a trilha, no Centro de Visitantes, os turistas recebem informações sobre a Reserva, a Mata Atlântica e a conservação da biodiversidade. Também estão à disposição sanitários e quiosques para churrascos ou piqueniques.
Como os mosquitos são companheiros constantes, o repelente é recomendável para o percurso. Roupas leves e calçados confortáveis (um ou mais pares, caso molhe), mochila pequena para caminhada, roupa de banho e protetor
solar também são itens indispensáveis.
A Reserva Natural Salto Morato está aberta à visitação o ano inteiro. A entrada custa R$ 7,00 (estudantes portando carteirinha pagam meia entrada). O horário de funcionamento é de terça a domingo, das 8h30 às 17h30, sendo a última entrada às 16h.
A Reserva possui estrutura de camping, que comporta até trinta pessoas em barracas. Churrasqueiras e banheiros
com chuveiro quente estão à disposição dos campistas. Para a utilização do camping, é preciso realizar
a reserva antecipadamente. Não há limite de tempo de permanência para quem for acampar na reserva.
O valor da diária é de R$ 10,00 por pessoa. Crianças menores de 10 anos não pagam. (41)3381-9671(Reserva) –

Salto Morato Natural Reserve
The place is surrounded by waterfalls, nature trails and lush biodiversity. Ideal for those seeking peace and contact with nature in any season. The Salto Morato Natural Reserve is one of the main tourist attractions of Guaraqueçaba (PR) and is the largest and best preserved continuous remnant of Atlantic Forest of the country.
Created in 1994 by the Boticario Group Foundation for Nature Protection, the Reserve is within the Federal
Environmental Protection Area (APA) of Guaraqueçaba, a region renowned for its natural and scenic beauty. It is recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage Site of Humanity and recognized as benchmark in nature
reserve management. The highlight of the Reserve is the waterfall that gives name to the place. The Salto Morato, a cascade of about a hundred meters high, provides an exciting visual spectacle.
The trail leading to it is surrounded by a dense forest that reveals surprises of all kinds. Birds and sometimes even monkeys can be spotted on the path that also includes the Natural Aquarium, a natural pool of crystal clear water that can be used to swim alongside several fish. The tour track Salto Morato can be done in a single day, it has interpretive panels and is well signposted.
Before starting the trail, at the Visitor Center, visitors receive information about the Reserve, Atlantic Forest and biodiversity conservation. Also available are toilets and kiosks for barbecues or picnics. As mosquitoes are constant
companions, the repellent is recommended for the ride. Light clothing and comfortable shoes (one or more pairs if wet), small backpack for hiking, bathing suit and sunscreen are also indispensable items.
The Salto Morato Natural Reserve is open to visitors all year round. Admission is R$ 7,00 (students carrying ID card pay half price). The opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday, 8:30am to 530pm, with the last entry at 4pm. The
Reserve has camping structure, which holds up to thirty people in tents. Barbecue grills and restrooms with hot showers are available to campers. To use the campground, you must make a reservation in advance. There is no limit on length of stay for those who are camping in the reserve. The daily rate is R$ 10,00 per person.
