Atualmente o município de Francisco Beltrão, Sudoeste do Paraná, conta com aproximadamente oitenta mil habitantes, e o prefeito Wilmar Reichembach, preocupado com o crescimento e o desenvolvimento da cidade,
executou diversas obras de reformas, ampliação e modernização do Aeroporto Municipal Paulo Abdala.
Dentre as principais obras estão melhorias e reformas no setor de embarque e desembarque, na área de taxiamento,
iluminação, cerca em toda a extensão da pista de rolamento, estacionamento e ajardinamento, visando o início dos voos regulares ligando o Sudoeste a Curitiba e a outros grandes centros. Foram investidos, somente nessas obras, mais de R$ 1 milhão. Todas as melhorias, ampliações e reformas atendem às exigências da Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (Anac) que aprovou o Aeroporto Municipal Paulo Abdala. Isso tudo possibilitou a realização de voos diários com aeronaves para transporte de passageiros.
Os visitantes encontram em Francisco Beltrão uma belíssima torre construída junto à Concatedral. A Torre da Concatedral conta com mirante e elevador panorâmico. O novo ponto turístico da cidade tem 100,80 metros de altura. O município também dispõe de roteiros de turismo rural.

Francisco Beltrão, the Heart of the West of Paraná
Nowadays the municipality of Francisco Beltrao, Southwest of Paraná, has about eighty thousand inhabitants, and the Mayor Wilmar Reichembach, concerned with growth and development of the city, implemented various works of reform, expansion and modernization of Paulo Abdala Municipal Airport. Among the major works are improvements and reforms in the embarking and disembarking, in the area of taxiways, lighting, fence the entire length of roadway, parking and landscaping in order to start scheduled flights linking the West to Curitiba and other major centers.
It was invested only in such works, more than a million reais. All improvements, expansions and renovations fill the requirements of the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac), which approved the Municipal Airport Paulo Abdala. This all led to the daily operation of aircraft to transport passengers.
Visitors will find a beautiful Francisco Beltrão tower built next to Concatedral. The Concatedral Tower has a gazebo and a panoramic elevator.The new landmark of the city is 100.8 meters high. The city also offers tours of rural tourism.
